- Make sure the flannel cover is on the moist heating pad. Next, place the automatic heating pad over the area where treatment is required.
- This high-heat heating pad will get very warm in some time. If the heat becomes intolerable, discomforting, or adverse, turn down or remove the heat pad from the area promptly.

- Now rub the treated area with a cold, wet towel or ice cubes if needed.
