What to buy with Surgitube Applicators

How to use tubular finger bandages with SurgiTube Metal Cage Applicators?

  • Cut the tubular finger bandage to the correct size. Ensure it is longer than the dressing but shorter than the finger.
  • Cover the plastic applicator with the tubular finger bandage.
  • Slot the applicator gently over the finger to spread the bandage evenly over the digit.
  • Hold the top end of the bandage to ensure it doesn’t move out of place as you gently slide the applicator off the finger, leaving the tubular bandage secured around the finger.
  • Check that the bandage is in place without any wrinkles or doubled-up layers. Regularly monitor the wound and check with the casualty that they aren’t feeling numbness or tingling in the finger. If they are, use the applicator to gently remove the bandage, as it is too tight and is impeding blood circulation.
