Sulfolyser Reagent, the cyanide-free sodium lauryl sulphate reagent, is used in the hemoglobin detection method (SLS). The reagent lyses the sample's red and white blood cells. The red blood cells are treated with sulfolyser, and hemoglobin is converted into SLS-haemoglobin. SLS-haemoglobin concentration is calculated as light absorbance by comparing it to the absorbance of the diluent before the sample was added.
