• Solaris ExoSoft Open Toe Below Knee 20-30 mmHg Compression Stockings is a closed toe garment that provides 20-30 mmHg compression just below the knee crease
• ExoSoft material consists of:
  - 85% nylon
  - 15% spandex
• Indications:
  - Lymphedema
  - Venous swelling
  - Prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
• Washing Instructions:
  - Machine wash with mild detergent in warm water
  - Don’t use bleach or fabric softeners
  - Machine dry on permanent press. Do not iron
• Helping Hints:
  - The stockings must be worn as soon as the user wakes up. That is usually when leg  is at its smallest and garment is the easiest to don
  - Hand must be dry before putting the gauntlet on. A thin layer of talcum or baby powder may help
  - Use vinyl gloves, such as dishwashing gloves, while putting on the garment to prevent fingernail tears and make it easier to adjust
  - Take off watches and jewelry before putting the garment on. They can snag and tear the garment
  - Don’t cut or pull loose threads. Cutting or pulling could cause a run in the fabric
  - Skin hygiene is important, so put on a clean garment every day
  - Putting on compression garments can be frustrating, especially the first few times. It will get easier with practice and patience

• Contraindications:
  - Arterial insufficiency or degeneration

  - Turn the garment inside out until the user reaches the foot portion. The heel pocket or seam should just be visible
  - Slide foot into the foot portion. Adjust the garment until heel is aligned with the heel pocket or seam
  - Ease the garment up the leg a few centimeters at a time. Smooth out creases as user moves upwards

  - Grab the top band of the garment and turn it inside out
  - Continue turning the garment inside out while pulling it down to the ankle.
  - Insert a finger into the stocking to move it over the ankle
  - Then, pull the rest of the garment off of the foot
