Smart Pull-String Magnet Fall Monitor features a magnet positioned cord that attaches via a garment clip to the residents clothing. When the resident attempts to get out of their chair, the tension on the pull-string cord causes the magnet to pull away from its position, causing the fall alarm to sound, alerting the caregiver of the residents departure.

More Information

  • Uses:
    For Bed: Attach alarm on wall above headboard, or on back of headboard,using the Velcro provided
    For Chair: Attach alarm to arm or crossbar of chair or wheelchair using the strap provided
    - Connect 9v battery in monitor (battery is not included)
    - Drape cord over headboard and attach cord to patients clothing with clip
    - Adjust cord length so alarm engages when resident attempts to get out of bed
  • How to Adjust Cord Length
    - To adjust cord length, depress button on cord stop, move cord stop to desired length
    - The appropriate length is determined by caregiver and should allow resident freedom of movement
    - The cord length will engage alarm in the event of the resident attempting to get out of their chair or bed
    - Make sure cord is not obstructed by any objects, such as pillows or clothing
