  • Easy to Use:
    -  Ankle/Instep  
    1. Place patients foot inside the Heel Protector. Make certain that the heel is suspended over the air cavity
    2. Make sure toes are facing upward
    3. Thread the Velcro strap through the web loop near the toes and secure the closure
    4. Thread the ankle strap through the web loop near the ankle and secure closure
    5. Velcro closures should be snug but not tight
  • Easy Care:
    -
    Clean heel protector with germicidal cleaning solution or soap and water. If necessary, launder at temperatures below 1800 F (82O C). Dry at the low setting. Do not use bleach directly on the fabric. Be sure to connect straps to Velcro closure before laundering.
  • Caution:
    1. Use on bedridden patients only.
    2. Do not allow patient to walk or stand on the floor while wearing the protector.
    3. Have medical professional remove heel protector periodically to inspect skin. 4. Do not over tighten straps.
    5. Assure that the foot is placed in the protector so that the heel is off-loaded. 6. When used with the Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) device, assure that the tubing is not in contact with the skin and the air flow is not compromised.
    7. Periodically inspect the heel
