The Skil-Care Heel Float Plus Boot's design inhibits the development of pressure sores by entirely relieving pressure on the heel, bunion, and malleoli. Additionally, the Skil-Care Heel-Float Plus has extended foot support that works to minimize dorsal flexion and a stiff insert that inhibits foot-drop while shielding the wearer's toes from the weight of blankets and sheets. The water-based gel insert in this heel protector relieves pressure below the ankle and can be used for hot or cold therapy. Warm the gel pack in warm water until the required temperature is obtained for hot therapy. Place the gel in the refrigerator for cold therapy.
