• Intended Use:
  - The belt is intended to prevent the patient from falling out of the wheelchair, due to minor surface bumps, during transportation of the patient.
  - It is not intended to be used as a restraint or posture support
• Caution:
  It is not recommended to utilize the wheelchair belt under the following conditions:
  - Restless, aggressive, combative, or suicidal patients
  - Patients who tend to slide forward or down or who attempt to slide under the belt by pulling it up over their chest. This could result in chest compression, restriction, or suffocation
  - Patients with ostomy, colostomy, G-Tubes, hernias, severe cardio obstructive pulmonary disease, those with post-surgical incisions that might be compromised by the pressure from a restrictive product, or those with monitoring equipment, tubes, or lines that might be compromised by rubbing against a restraint
• Precautions:
  - Straps should be secure and have a snug fit, without interfering with breathing. Straps that are too loose may allow the patients body to slide forward or down in a chair, which can cause the patient to become suspended in the restraint and result in injury or suffocation
  - After applying a restrictive product, always monitor the patient to make sure that they are not sliding down or falling off the chair seat. A different product may be necessary in order to reduce sliding, if this is the case, contact your Health Care Professional
  - Only use this product for its intended use. Never use the belt a s a seat belt in a moving vehicle, it was not designed to withstand the force of a collision. Do not use with a patient in bed
