How to use Sage Heel Protector?

  • To properly position the heel, place the heel protector on the bed next to your patient's leg.
  • Position the heel over the opening if using an S CD.
  • Select the appropriate access ports to route the device tubing through.
  • Next, pull up the sides of the heel protector if the tag is visible; it is in the correct position.
  • The integrated wedge on the outside or lateral side of the leg.
  • Remove the fabric strip covering the stretch panels and attach the stretch panels to the color-coordinated landing pads.
  • The orange stretch panel is the contracture strap, which helps keep the foot upright.
  • Adjust the stretch panels to ensure a secure, comfortable fit.
  • Check to make sure the heel is floated and readjust if necessary.
