How to use Simpurity Silicone Bordered Foam Dressing?
Application
- Clean the wound with sterile cleanser or saline water and dry the surrounding skin
- Choose the right size of dressing to cover the wound according to the wound area
- Remove one of the back layers and apply that dressing half to the wound
- Then remove the second liner and secure the rest of the dressing to the wound
Changing Frequency
- Dressing change frequency will depend on the patient’s condition and the level of exudate
- This dressing is recommended to be changed three times a week.
Dressing Removal:
- Peel up an edge of the dressing border and gently pull to remove the used dressing
- Repeat application steps
Indications:
SimpurityTM Silicone Sacrum Bordered Foam dressings are indicated for managing moderate to heavily exude wounds such as pressure sores of the sacral area, chronic and acute sacral wounds, lacerations and abrasions on shallow wounds.
Contraindications:
Not indicated for third-degree burns or surgical implantations
