Quantum Goniometer can function as both a goniometer and inclinometer and has thumb slots for one-handed use. It can be used to measure joint range of motion as well as arm and leg range of motion in both supination and pronation movements. The arm can be locked into position while the base stabilizes the device even when on uneven surfaces for accurate and consistent measurements. This makes it ideal for evaluating and measuring spinal deviations as well as cervical and lumbar range of motion.

Quantum Goniometer Features

  • Multi-dimensional goniometer is a must-have for any clinic or training facility. The design allows for one-handed use via a third arm handle and ergonomic thumb cut-out
  • Handle is especially beneficial in burn units and pediatrics where having an extra hand to write or hold a leg/arm still during measurement is vital
  • Gravitational bearing and collapsible arms convert the tool to a pronation/supination inclinometer
  • Goniometer also features a retractable base, which converts the goniometer to a single inclinometer for assessing back and neck range of motion
  • Click-and-lock design allows for accurate placement of the stationary/movable arms without awkward therapist body position
  • Goniometer is 11" long and 5.5" width at the dial
  • Degrees of motion read 0-180 degrees on both the large dial and the smaller adjustable dial
  • Larger dial reads in 1 degree increments, whereas the smaller dial reads in 5 degree increments

More Information

  • Practical Applications For The Goniometer And Inclinometer:
Goniometer: Choose traditional or one handed use:

    - Collapse all three arms together
    - Position the Goniometer at the joint axis
    - Align the short handle with the base arm, then rotate to measure
    - As a one-handed Goniometer use the thumb slots on the dial to rotate the movable arm
    - If you choose, once placement is made at the joint axis, you can rotate and lock the short handle then rotate the movable arm by placing your thumb in the main dial to easily generate movement
Inclinometer: Lumbar or Cervical Spine Flexion, Extension and Lateral Flexion:
    - Collapse all three arms together
    - Pull out and extend footer on back of Goniometer
    - Place the footer at the desired location on patient
    - Adjust the small Inclinometer dial at center of Goniometer to zero
    - Instruct patient to flex/extend
    - Read the degrees on Inclinometer
Inclinometer: Wrist or Forearm Pronation and Supination:
    - Collapse all three arms together
    - Adjust the small Inclinometer dial at center of Goniometer to zero
    - Instruct patient to supinate or pronate
    - Read the degrees on Inclinometer
  • Material and Markings:
    - Made of smooth, clear, durable Plexiglas instead of flexible plastic, in your hand, this instrument feels substantial in girth. Each handle is nearly .5 centimeters thick. The creators wanted the Quantum Goniometer to have durability and longevity for purposes of enhancing its fundamental value. Most Goniometers are made of thin plastic that often crack or break in clinical or sports medicine settings due to repetitive use, accidents or load stress. Measurement markings are etched in black ink on handles, red ink on the main dial and black ink on the Inclinometer.
  • Footer: Its Implicit Purpose:
    - A footer, located on the back of the Goniometer (glides up and down, in and out of view) provides clinician with the capability to use instrument as a Cervical Protractor or Postural Assessment Tool. The clinician slides the footer into view (see photo) and uses the footer to stabilize the Goniometer on the trunk, cervical, or lumbar area of the patient for ease of reading and accuracy. Photo depicts clinician using footer as trunk ROM tool. (Dual Inclinometers are still applicable, if desired).
