How to use Probasics Three In One Bedside Commode?

Setup Instruction:

1. Remove frame, seat, lid, pail, cover and splash shield from carton. Allow the seat and lid to reach room temperature if exposed to cold. This will help prevent the seat and lid clamps from cracking while being assembled onto commode back frame rail.
2. Hold the folded frame in the upright position.
3. Unfold the two (2) side frame pieces and stand in the upright position.
4. Adjust the sides frame pieces so they are slightly wider than perpendicular to the back of the frame.
5. Swing the bucket support frame up and attach the front of the tube to the 2 side frame pieces. Insert the tube by depressing the brass push pin and pushing until it is securely in place. The brass push pin will extend out of the locking hole when secure in place. An audible click will be heard. Repeat this step for other side.
6. Attach backrest by depressing brass push pins and sliding either end into the receptacles located on the backside of the frame. Ensure brass push pins fully protrude out of the locking hole. An audible click will be heard once locked.
7. Place the commode pail between the pail brackets on the commode frame.
8. Press the commode seat and lid onto the back tube of the bucket support frame. The commode seat must be installed before use. Ensure the bucket lies flat on the frame. Remove the bucket lid before use.

Adjust commode height

1. Depress the height adjustment button and slide the lower leg upward or downward until the height adjustment button is fully engaged in the desired hole. An audible click will be heard.
2. Repeat for other three leg attachments.
3. To ensure legs are locked into place, pull gently on each leg.

Caution:

• Ensure that all four commode legs are adjusted to the same height, and that all height adjustment buttons protrude fully through adjustment holes before use.

To use commode over toilet

1. Set commode to desired height (see “Adjust Commode Height” section).
2. Position splash guard in place onto pail supports.
3. Remove back support.
4. Lift toilet bowl seat and place commode over toilet with splash shield positioned over the center of the toilet bowl.
5. Lower the commode seat onto the frame before use.
   Note: Clean seat and splash shield with disinfectant after each use.

To use as a bedside commode

1. Set commode to desired height (see “Adjust Commode Height” section).
2. Push commode pail onto pail supports. Ensure that pail is properly positioned below commode opening. Commode is now ready for use.
3. When user is finished using commode, place commode pail lid over commode pail to contain odors.
4. Remove pail and lid simultaneously to empty pail. Clean seat and pail with disinfectant after each use.

How to maintain Commode Chair?

1. Use a mild soap and water solution, rinse thoroughly with clean water, then dry with a soft cloth. Ensure that commode is well rinsed and dried before using.
2. Never use organic solvents, abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any part of commode.
3. Check fit and tightness of all nuts, bolts and knobs weekly to ensure that the commode is stable and safe to use.
4. Check the rubber tips on the height adjustable legs for rips, wear or if they are missing. Immediately discontinue use and replace any or all parts if imperfections exist.
