Nu-Hope Nu-Form 7 Inches Wide Right Sided Stoma Regular Elastic Support Belt With Prolapse Strap is a comfortable binder that allows the elastic to form around bulges and other body shapes more naturally. Nu-Form 7 Inches Stoma Prolapse Belt is made of a blend of polyester and flexible and features an opening reinforced with a durable plastic ring for 360° wafer and pouch support. The belt ring is sturdy and will not lose its shape. Each belt secures with a sturdy Velcro-type closure that is adjustable to get the perfect fit.

What to buy with Ostomy Belt


Instructions for Use

  1. Apply pouching system as usual
    Note: To obtain best result, lie down 5-10mins so the hernia can reduce before fastening
  2. Gently put the entire pouch (Not wafer or small belt tabs) through the belt ring opening. Pouch should lay flat. Make sure the loop (soft) portion of the velcro is on the opposite side of the stoma and facing outward.
  3. Wrap the belt around the body and fasten the hook and loop (velcro). Fastening the belt on same side as the stoma is not recommended.

How to Measure For Nu-Hope Support Belt?

Girth Measurement:

  • Belt length comes in sizes Small - XX-Large.
  • Measure the circumference horizontally around the body in line with the stoma.
  • If there is no hernia, measure standing in line with a stoma.
  • If herniated, the measurement should be made while laying on the back (supine position) after 5 minutes and standing.
  • If laying measurement falls between sizes, go to the next larger size.
  • If standing measurement falls between size, go to the next smaller size.

  • Choose the smallest possible width based on opening size and hernia size.
  • This product has a width of 4"
  • Measure a hernia from bottom to top. It is typically only necessary to capture 80% of a hernia.
