How to use the Z-Flex boot?

1. Unstrap all of the bootstraps. 
2. Center the heel over the heel opening as you place the leg and foot into the boot.
3. Strap the elastic shin straps around the leg, either bottom to top or top to bottom. Ensure that the straps are not too tight. 
4. Attach the ankle straps on each side. Never cross the ankle straps. 
5. Ensure that the foot is in an anatomically neutral position and that the pressure ulcer viewing door is closed. 
6. To check on pressure ulcer sores, undo the ankle straps and open the pressure ulcer viewing door at the bottom of the boot. Close the door and straps back up when the task is complete.
