How does oil emulsion dressing work?
Oil Emulsion Wound Dressing consists of a nonadherent gauze mesh impregnated with white petrolatum in an oil emulsion blend. This primary dressing permits the flow of exudate without sticking to the wound bed. Conforms to all body contours. Nonadherent, use beneath a secondary dressing to manage exudate and securement.
What it does for the skin?
An emulsion offers you all the benefits of a facial moisturizer with some extra added advantages. It helps to seal hydration and avert the loss of moisture from the surface of your skin. Being lightweight, an emulsion easily gets absorbed into your skin and works fast.

Just what the doctor ordered

I had a surgical wound that would not heal and was extremely painful. I tried several different medications and nothing worked. I went to my primary care doctor for other reasons and at the same time showed her my wound. She came back with the Curad oil immersion dressing. I was amazing how it took the pain away. My would is now healed but I decided that it was worth while having these dressings on hand.
