Parts Description

• A - Soft Grip: Bed Assist Bar handles provide balance and stability when getting in and out of bed or changing positions. It has a curved padded surface on the handle for easy grip and comfortable hold. It prevents your hand from slipping off the rail.


• B - Storage Pocket: Medline bed assist rail comes with a nylon mesh bag that attaches to below the bar handles and allows you to keep your essential items like remote, books, phone, and many more.


• C - Rubber Tips: These tips keep your bed rail secured in its place and prevent scratches or damage to the floor.


• D - Base Frame: It is designed to be placed under the bed mattress and supports the bed assist bar.


• E - Straps: Straps are for added safety and allow you to secure the bed rail across the bed for added strength and stability.

How to Install the Bed Assist Bar?

• A - Assist Bar
• B - Legs (2)
• C - Support Frame
• D - Brace Bar
• E - Base Frame
• F - Storage Pocket

Assembling Instructions

1. Gather parts C, D, and E.
2. Assemble the brace bar (D) into the 2 Support Frame pieces (C). Ensure that the arrow on the two support frame pieces is pointing up.
3. Attach the Base Frame (E) to the Support Frame pieces (C).
4. Attach the Legs (B) to the Support Frame pieces (C).
5. Attach the Assist Bar (A) to the other side of the Support Frame pieces (C). Notice the clips on the Assist Bar just below the foam padding. The clips should face outward as these are what the storage pocket hangs on.
6. Attach the Storage Pocket (F) outside the Assist Bar (A).
7. The Bed Assist Bar is now Assembled.

How to place the Bed Rail?

1. Take the mattress off the bed.
2. Place the assembled Medline Bed Assist Bar at a desired location on your bed. Bed assist will sit between the bed frame and the mattress or between the box spring and the mattress.
3. The legs will need adjusting depending on the height of your bed frame ( Fig.1).
4. Make sure that the legs are firmly touching the ground.
5. Once in place, take the strap (G) and thread it through the 2 loops in the base (Fig.2).
6. Depending on the size of your bed, you might be able only to loop it through one loop in order to reach the opposite side of the bed (on king-size beds).
7. Secure the strap around the bed frame on the opposite side of the bed and tighten it.
8. Place the mattress back on the bed.
9. Depending on the width of your mattress, the top of the assist bar might need height adjustment.
10. Adjust to the desired height by pulling the e-clip and pushing the button.
