How to use True Metrix Meter Test Strips?

• Allow test strips, meter, and control solution to sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes before testing. If opening the control solution bottle for the first time, write the date opened on the bottle.
• With a cap on, gently swirl or invert the control solution bottle a few times. Do not shake.
• Remove the test strip from the vial and recap immediately. Insert test strip into the meter to turn the meter on.
• Remove bottle cap. Turn the control solution bottle upside down. Squeeze one drop of control solution onto a clean tissue. Wipe off bottle tip. Discard used tissue.
• Gently squeeze another drop of control solution onto a small piece of unused aluminum foil or clear plastic wrap. With the glucometer test strips in the meter, touch the Sample Tip of the test strip to the top of a drop of control solution. Allow drop to be drawn into the test strip. Remove a test strip from the drop when the meter begins testing.
• Compare the result from the meter to the control test range printed on the test strip vial label for the level of control solution tested.
• Press the Strip Release button on the meter to remove the test strip from the meter and discard it in an appropriate container.
• With a clean tissue, wipe the tip of the control solution bottle before recapping.
