  • Silk: Excellent handling and tying characteristics. Modern braiding technique provides a uniform surface and high tensile strength. Available in black braided.
  • Polypropylene: Versatile monofilament suture with exceptional tensile strength. Smooth and easy to handle with excellent knot security. Available as blue monofilament.
  • Polyester: Silicone (impregnated) coating designed for precise handling and pliability. Uniform braiding process designed to provide greater resistance to breaking. Excellent knot security.

  • Chromic Gut: Ensures predictable absorption and high tensile strength. Each strand has a uniform diameter for secure knotting.
  • Polyglycolic Acid: Offers a smooth and low friction coating to reduce tissue drag. These absorbable sutures retain 50% of their tensile strength at two weeks and 20% of their strength at three weeks. Available as undyed monofilament.
  • PGA-PCL (glycolide & e-caprolactone): Excellent absorption, pliability and handling. Popular for subcuticular closure and soft tissue approximation with 64%-76% retention of tensile strength at two week and 40% tensile strength retention at three weeks. Available as undyed monofilament.
