Precautions

• The reagents in this kit contain sodium azide. Sodium azide may react with lead and copper plumbing to form highly explosive metal azides.
• Upon disposal, flush with a large amount of water to prevent azide buildup.
• All patient samples should be handled as if they are capable of transmitting disease.
• Observe established precautions against microbiological hazards throughout all procedures and follow the standard procedures for proper disposal of potentially infectious specimens
