Preparation
- Wash your hands with warm water and soap
- Dry your hands thoroughly
- Warm water helps to stimulate blood flow
Intended Use
Hygienic collection of capillary blood for testing purposes from the side of a fingertip and from alternate sites, such as the palm, the upper arm, and the forearm.
How to use Accu-Chek FastClix lancets?
Inserting a Lancet Drum
- Remove the cap by pulling it straight off
- Insert the new lancet drum, white end first, into the lancing device until it stops and clicks into place
- Place the cap back on up to the stop position
Setting the Penetration Depth
Set penetration depth by turning the comfort dial on the cap
Obtaining a Blood Drop
- Press the lancing device firmly against the side of the fingertip
- Press the release button all the way down
- Massage the finger to encourage a blood drop to form
Advancing to a New Lancet
- Push the lever as far as it will go in direction A and then back in direction B
- The next lancet is now ready to be used
- The Lancet counter shows a new number of available lancets
Replacing a Used Lancet Drum
- Remove cap
- Remove the lancet drum from the lancing device
- A used lancet drum has a red stripe
- Insert a new lancet drum
Storage & Handling
- Use only Accu-Chek FastClix lancet drums with the device to avoid damage
- Avoid storing the lancing device in extreme temperatures to maintain proper functionality
- Always use a new lancet to minimize infection risk and ensure a pain-free blood collection
- Use the lancing device only with the attached cap to prevent discomfort from overly deep penetration
- Place the cap correctly without force when the lancet drum is fully inside the lancing device to avoid damage
- Do not remove the lancet drum until all 6 lancets have been used, as reinsertion is not possible
How to clean and disinfect the lancing device?
- Wash hands with soap and water and dry thoroughly
- Wipe the entire lancing device surface and the inside of the cap with a Super Sani-Cloth
- For disinfecting the lancing device, use a new cloth
- Repeat step 2, making sure that the surface stays wet for 2 minutes
- Wash hands with soap and water and dry thoroughly
