How to use the TENS 3000 Device?

  1. Connect the lead wires to the device: Insert the lead wires into the designated slots on the TENS 3000 Analog Unit. The lead wires are usually color-coded, with one wire being red and the other black
  2. Attach the electrodes to your skin: The electrodes are the sticky pads that conduct the electrical impulses from the TENS 3000 Analog Unit to your skin. Place the electrodes on the area of your body where you are experiencing pain. The electrodes should be at least one inch apart from each other
  3. Adjust the settings: Turn on the TENS 3000 Analog Unit and adjust the settings to your desired level of intensity. The TENS 3000 Analog Unit has two dials - one for intensity and one for frequency. Start with a low intensity and gradually increase it until you feel a comfortable level of stimulation
  4. Use the TENS 3000 Analog Unit for the recommended time: The recommended time for TENS therapy is usually between 15 and 30 minutes per session. Use the TENS 3000 Analog Unit for the recommended time, and then turn it off
  5. Remove the electrodes and clean your skin: After using the TENS 3000 Analog Unit, remove the electrodes from your skin and clean the area with soap and water

Maintenance, Transportation & Storage Of TENS 3000 Device

  • A non-flammable cleaning solution is suitable for cleaning the device. Note: Do not smoke or work with open flames (for example, candles, etc.) when working with flammable liquids
  • Stains and spots can be removed with a cleaning agent
  • Do not submerge the device in liquids or expose it to large amounts of water
  • Return the device to the carrying box with sponge foam to ensure that the unit is well-protected before transportation
  • If the device is not to be used for a long period, remove the batteries from the battery compartment (acid may leak from used batteries and damage the device). Put the device and accessories in the carrying box and keep in a cool dry place
  • The packed TENS device should be stored and transported under the temperature range of -20 °C ~ +60 °C, relative humidity 20% ~ 95%, and atmosphere pressure 500 hPa ~ 1060 hPa.

Warnings

  • Caution should be used in applying to patients suspected of having heart disease. Further clinical data is needed to show there are no adverse results
  • The safety of TENS devices for use during pregnancy or birth has not been established. Do not use it during pregnancy.
  • It is not effective for pain of central origin. (This includes headache)
  • It should be used only under the continued supervision of a physician
  • It has no curative value
  • It is a symptomatic treatment and as such suppresses the sensation of pain which would otherwise serve as a protective mechanism
  •  Electronic monitoring equipment (such as ECG monitors and ECG alarms) may not operate properly when TENS stimulation is in use
  • There should be a prominently placed statement warning that the stimulus delivered by this device may be sufficient to cause electrocution. An electrical current of this magnitude must not flow through the thorax because it may cause a cardiac arrhythmia
  • Do not place electrodes on the front of the throat as spasms of the Laryngeal and Pharyngeal muscles may occur
  • Care should be taken so that when operating potentially dangerous machinery the stimulator controls are not changed abruptly
  • Electrodes should not be placed over the eyes, in the mouth, or internally
  • Keep this device out of the reach of children
  • Caution: Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician
