How to use Insulated Reuseable Hot and Cold Gel Packs?

1. For use as a Hot Pack -
   • To Microwave:
     • Place room temperature gel pack in the microwave for 55 seconds at full power (750 watts)
     • Remove pack from microwave with caution
     • Knead pack to distribute heat evenly
     • For additional heat, reheat the pack in the microwave for 10 seconds
     • Do not exceed 65 seconds of total heating time
     • Place in a sleeve or wrap with a towel and apply to the desired area for 30 minutes
     • Remove and leave the area uncovered for 60 minutes
     • Microwave ovens vary in wattage output
     • Some may heat at a faster or slower rate
   
   
   • To Boil:
     • Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil
     • Remove water from heat and immerse room temperature gel pack
     • After 40 seconds use tongs to remove the gel pack from water
     • Knead pack to distribute heat evenly
     • Place in a sleeve or wrap with a towel and apply to the desired area for 30 minutes
     • Remove and leave uncovered for 60 minutes
   • For use as a Cold Pack -
     • To Freeze:
       • Place gel pack in freezer for a minimum of 2 hours
       • Remove pack from the freezer
       • Place in a sleeve or wrap with a towel and apply to the desired area for 30 minutes.
       • Remove and leave the area uncovered for 60 minutes
       • Carefully read all instructions and warnings located on gel pack before use
       • Misuse may cause burns or may damage or destroy the product

Cardinal Health Hot And Cold Gel Packs Storage Instructions

• Pack may be stored at room temperature or in freezer
• If you store the pack in the freezer, ensure pack returns to room temperature before heating and using the pack

Cautions:

• Do not place product directly on skin
• Do not puncture or strike pack in any manner
• Do not use if punctured, torn, or leaking
• For external use only
• Individuals with circulatory problems should use only at the direction of a physician
• Do not apply to broken skin

Warnings:
