• Bauerfeind CaligaLoc Stabilizing Ankle Brace stabilizes the ankle by counteracting supination
• Prevents abnormal load situations in the upper and, to a certain extent, lower ankle
• Integrated pronating raised heel section takes the strain off the lateral malleolar ligaments.
• Consists of a cushioned plastic splint fastened securely to the foot with straps using a simple velcro system
• Under the heel, a slight raising of the outer edge tilts the foot inwards, so that the outer ankle ligaments are relieved
• Logical outcome of the development of the proven MHH ankle splint
• Can be worn as a support splint in normal shoes, but also without shoes as a postural or night-time support
• Flat micro-velcro fastenings are used to adjust the level of support
• Stability element can be reshaped thermoplastically if the individual anatomy of the foot requires this

• Indications:
  - Conservative treatment of torn ankle ligaments
  - Postoperative protection after ligamental suturing reconstruction
  - Temporary stabilization for posttraumatic tarsal sinus syndrome and decompensated instability of the subtalar joint
  - Permanent stabilization for chronic instability of the upper and lower ankle where surgery is contraindicated

More Information

• Contraindications:
  - Hypersensitivity reactions harmful to health have not been reported to date
  - In the following conditions such aids should only be fitted and applied after consultation with physician
  - Skin disorders or injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if inflammation is present
  - Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and excessive heat build-up
  - Impaired sensation and movement disorders of the legs and feet, example in the case of diabetes mellitus
  - Impaired lymph drainage, including soft tissue swellings of uncertain origin located remotely from the fitted support
