Atos Medical Therabite ActiveBand forms an addition to the TheraBite Jaw Motion Rehabilitation System providing resistance to mouth closure. The device is designed to increase muscle strength and endurance of the muscles of mastication (the masseter, temporalis, medial and lateral pterygoid muscles). The active exercise can be used for patients with compromised by cerebral lesions after stroke or that has neuromuscular disorders. It can also serve as a supplement to passive motion exercises, e.g. for patients with Trismus. Non-sterile. For single patient use only.
