How to take Thigh and Calf Measurements for Hinged Knee Brace?

1.Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart, legs slightly bent and leg muscles contracted.

 

2. Measure up six inches from the center of your knee with a tape measure, as shown.

 

3. Measure the circumference of your thigh at the 6-inch mark, as shown.

 

4. Measure down six inches from the center of your knee with a tape measure, as shown. Then measure the circumference of your calf at the 6-inch mark.

How to use ARYSE Adjustable Knee Brace?

• For valgus correction (leg bowing in), wear the brace on the inside of the affected leg
• For varus correction (leg bowing out), wear the brace on the outside of the affected leg

How to Wear Aryse Hinged Knee Brace?

1. Unfasten and loosen straps 
2. Align the hinge with the center of the involved knee joint 
3. Starting with strap 1, secure and fasten straps in numerical order. Each strap may be tightened further by cutting straps and reattaching fasteners. 
4. Use the Allen wrench provided for minor varus/valgus adjustments to hinge.

Directions for Setting Hinge

The range of motion positions is customizable with the included block kit but should only be adjusted by a medical professional.

• Use the screwdriver provided to loosen/remove screws on the outside of the hinge
•  Insert stops to customize flexion/extension degree. Place a stop on the posterior (back) side of the hinge for the desired degree of flexion and place a stop on the anterior (front) side of the hinge for the desired degree of extension 
• Reinsert screws into the hinge cover to hold stops in place
