Why Choose Osmolite 1.5?
Osmolite 1.5 is a high-calorie, nutritionally complete formula designed to meet the needs of individuals requiring supplemental or sole-source nutrition. Each serving provides 1.5 calories per milliliter, making it ideal for patients with increased caloric needs or those who are fluid-restricted. Osmolite 1.5 is commonly used in tube feeding for individuals who are unable to consume food orally, such as those with gastrointestinal disorders, critical illnesses, or post-surgical recovery. The formula contains a balanced mix of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals to ensure proper nutrition and support recovery. Its isotonic nature helps reduce the risk of gastrointestinal complications, making it gentle on the stomach. Manufactured by Abbott, Osmolite 1.5 is available in ready-to-use containers, providing convenience and consistency for caregivers. Its balanced nutrient profile and high-calorie content help promote weight gain, muscle preservation, and overall well-being in patients requiring long-term nutritional support.
