Using the TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Contact Dressing

• Application
  1. Cleanse wound with sterile water. 
  2. Remove the dressing from sterile pouch, using aseptic technique.
  3. Moisten the dressing with sterile water and place the textured side in contact with the wound.
  4. Cover and secure the system periwound care protocol.
• Removal
  1. Lift one corner and slowly remove in a motion parallel to the skin.
  2. Dressing should be changed based on the amount of exudate or the condition of the wound.
  3. Note: The system may adhere on wounds that are dry or have very light exudate.
  4. If the system is not easily removed, then moisten or soak to assist removal.
• Indications
  - Light to moderately exuding partial- and full-thickness wounds

• Contraidications
  1. Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to silver.
  2. Do not use on patients during MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) examination.
  3. Prior to commencing radiation therapy, remove TheraBond 3D.
  4. Apply a new TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Barrier System following treatment.
• Warning/Precaution
  1. For external use only.
  2. TheraBond 3D is not compatible with oil-based products such as petrolatum
  3. Do not use TheraBond 3D with saline solutions or povidone iodine.
  4. Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels during electronic measurements e.g. EEG and ECG.
  5. TheraBond 3D is not intended to provide treatment for infected wounds.
  6. If reddening or sensitization of the skin occurs, discontinue use.
  7. TheraBond 3D should only be used in premature infants (less than or equal to 37 weeks gestation)
