Remember Mom on Mother’s Day
Every second Sunday in May, we set aside a special day to remember and honor our moms. It doesn’t need to be something major, but we should all make it a point to honor the woman who gave birth to us and raised us into the people we are today. It’s just a simple way to respect and honor all the sacrifices she made so that we can be happy and grow up to become better people.
The last Monday of May is our day to honor those who have served our country. Originally known as Decoration Day after the Civil War, it is now known as Memorial Day. It is also the unofficial start of summer and can include barbecues and trips to the beach or pool. It’s not only important to understand what Memorial Day stands for, but to make sure we celebrate it in a safe manner.
