Braun Homepump Eclipse Elastomeric Infusion Devices is a portable IV Infusion pump device developed for ambulatory patients to use at home. It is a non-electric pump that delivers intravenous infusions of fluids and prescription medications using a central or peripheral catheter. The non-electric Elastomeric Pump has a pre-set flow rate to provide fluids or medications every 30 minutes for up to five hours. This process is made simpler by a pre-set flow rate, giving patients the comfort and convenience of receiving infusion therapy at home. Its elastomeric membrane has undergone testing for dependability and reliable functioning and is patentable. When the elastomeric membrane is no longer extended, the patient knows the infusion is finished. The Homepump Eclipse is designed for single-patient use and is not intended for repeated cleaning and use.
