Systagenix Promogran Prisma Matrix Wound Dressing is a freeze-dried composite of collagen, oxidised regenerated cellulose (ORC) and silver. It is designed to kick start the healing process while providing protection from infection. In the presence of exudate, it transforms into a soft, conformable, biodegradable gel, and thus allows contact with all areas of the wound.

  • Systagenix Promogran Prisma Matrix Wound Dressing is made from a matrix of 55% collagen, 44% ORC and 1% ORC/Silver
  • Maintains a physiologically moist microenvironment at the wound surface. This environment is conducive to granulation tissue formation, epithelization and optimal wound healing
  • Contains ionically bound silver, a well-known antimicrobial agent
  • Indicated for the management of exuding wounds including:
    - Diabetic ulcers
    - Venous ulcers
    - Pressure ulcers Ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies
    - Full-thickness and partial thickness wounds
    - Donor sites and other bleeding surface wounds
    - Abrasions Traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention
    - Dehisced surgical wounds
  • Can be used under compression therapy
  • Can be moulded to fit the wound shape or it can be cut with sterile scissors to fit the wound
  • Not necessary to remove any Promogran Prisma residue from the wound
  • Role Of Silver:
    The dressing provides an effective antimicrobial barrier as demonstrated by the in vitro reduction of bacterial growth with common wound pathogens such as, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Eschericia coli and Streptococcus pyogenes. Reduction of bacterial bioburden in the dressing may result in reduced risk of infection
